The thematic volume "Interaction, Discourse and Technology in the Teaching of Spanish" is a multidisciplinary compilation that addresses the challenges and advances in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, second language and heritage language. It is organized along three main axes: interaction in learning, discourse in teaching and the integration of technology.
Interaction in Spanish language learning is highlighted as fundamental for linguistic acquisition. Interactional competences, dialogic genres and innovative group dynamics that foster effective interaction are examined, as well as the role of interactive feedback and evaluation in the development of learner autonomy.
As for discourse in teaching, it focuses on lexical, grammatical and pragmatic aspects essential for learning. The impact of teacher discourse on teacher training and the importance of critical discourse studies in teaching materials are analyzed. Oral and written discourse, multimodality and linguistic diversity are also addressed.
Technology and technological mediation are presented as transformative elements in the teaching of Spanish. Learning platforms, hybrid and virtual environments, and digital linguistic tools are explored, including artificial intelligence to develop linguistic skills.
It is, therefore, an indispensable reference work for educators, researchers and professionals in the teaching of Spanish in different contexts and levels.
