This book is the result of a collaboration between a group of elderly people and a group of students of the Degree in Food Science and Technology, within the Service-Learning program “Food Education in the Elderly” of the University of Burgos.
It is not intended to be a book of healthy meals, but a compilation of recipes that elderly people and students wanted to share, thus contributing to prevent the loss of traditional dishes and techniques and to the transmission of knowledge. This intergenerational exchange is enriching both culturally and emotionally.
To complement this recipe book, paintings made by elderly people, as well as photos taken by the students during the elaboration, have been added, thus demonstrating that we eat with our eyes.
